A Stark Reminder of the Price of Peace

The photo pictures a different view of the blacked out remains of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial originally pictured in A Devastating Peace.

The Genbaku Dome, or A-Bomb Dome, was an exhibition hall built 30 years before the August 1945 atomic bomb dropped. One of the few structures still standing in the aftermath, it now serves as stark reminder of the price of peace in the larger, moving Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima, Japan.
