Every Wrinkle Tells a Story
If wrinkles were words or could be read like Braille, I wonder the stories they would tell…about me, about you, about us all?
Light, dark, long, short, sparse or plentiful, shallow or deeply creased, wrinkles are imprints of our lives displayed for others to see.
Some are worn as badges with distinction and others just are, not a glance or second thought about them. Many are covered, intentionally hidden like the souls of their owners.
Smiles, worry, sleeplessness, joy, anger, exhaustion, the causes are written on our faces.
If only we took the time to read their stories and listen to their voices.
That’s enough for tonight. Tomorrow’s another light.
Before I go, I’ll leave you with this. Irrespective of our current station or circumstances, our faces tell tales of something much larger, universal, and yet foundational and simple.
If only we took the time to read their stories and listen to their voices.
I hope you learn and enjoy. From one sojourner to another, all the best.
